An Ode to Gaia began in early 2018, when I moved back to India and found little of the plant-based alternatives that were abundant in the UK.

My own personal sweet tooth, and what I gathered of Mumbai's vegan community, I knew plant based desserts just had to be done. And that I was the one to bridge the gap, bringing to Mumbaikars the decadent plant-based dessert alternatives that did not compromise on taste!! You will never realise they are vegan.

Food blogging and food styling are the other passions I pursue through An Ode to Gaia. I love creating recipes to help people see the beauty of vegan food and how easy this lifestyle truly is.

The name itself is a vow to Gaia, the goddess of Earth; and as the name suggests, this brand is my promise to the Earth to do better and my personal Ode to Gaia. So join me in being part of a plant-based revolution.

What do you substitute for gluten flour?

Almond flour. Rice flour. Quinoa. Amaranth. Bean flour. Millet, buckwheat or potato flour.

What are the substitutes you use instead of refined sugar?

Natural sweeteners like jaggery, honey, coconut palm sugar. Maltitol and sugarlif are the manufactured alternate sweeteners that I use.

Does refined sugar free mean naturally sweetened or with artifical sweeteners?

It is your choice. Some items can take both natural and manufactured sweeteners as alternatives to the refined sugar, and there it is your choice. For some others, there is just one kind of alternative. All relevant alternatives will be offered to you when placing the order.
